why the engine dies when decelarating

Sometimes during deceleration i can hear the bike starting to loose its pace and if i am not fast enough to press the clutch and rev it up a bit it dies. When rev it up a bit it immediately overcomes that problem and perhaps it doesnt appear again for the rest of the ride. I thought it was the throttle cable so i dissmantled everything and oiled the cable so as to enable it sliding easier. That didnt help though.

Does anyone have any suggestions.
